The Institute of Infection and Global Health, within the Faculty of Health and Life Science, brings together leading infection, global health and food security researchers and includes medical, veterinary and basic science researchers. The Institute is pioneering research into the Sociology of Animal Health, with a particular emphasis on food security and on the impacts of animal diseases on human health and well-being. The University of Liverpool provides expertise in social network analysis and qualitative research methods to the consortium.
